... é così che comincia la più bella e celebre canzone che Francesco Petrarca scrisse nel lontano 1341, per il Canzoniere, nella Valchiusa vicino ad Avignone, dove si rifugiò in solitudine per nascondere le proprie sofferenze d'amore. Presso le acque del Sorga Petrarca rievoca l'immagine di Laura e qui il paesaggio diventa l'estensione della sua psicologia dove il poeta proietta l'identità dell' oggetto d'amore. ... is how it begins the most beautiful and famous song that Francesco Petrarca wrote back in 1341, the Canzoniere, in Vaucluse near Avignon, where he took refuge in solitude to hide his sufferings of love. At the waters of the Sorgue Petrarca evokes the image of Laura and here the landscape becomes an extension of his psychology where the poet projects the identity of the object of love.
