La montagna ispira più riverenza e appare più chiara e nitida al viandante della valle che non all' abitante delle sue pendici. La sua vicinanza al cielo, la fatica che comporta il salire i suoi fianchi, l’aria che si affina e fa sentire più leggeri, la maestosità del suo corpo, e la potenza che sviluppiamo quando, da lassù, vediamo il mondo srotolarsi ai nostri piedi: ed è qui che la montagna invoglia il pensiero, stimola la riflessione, e condiziona la logica. Ci indica i nostri confini di uomini e lì dentro ci fa ritornare. Ma più di tutto ci ammonisce a non sentirci onnipotenti. 22-mag-2016

The mountain inspired more reverence and appear clearer and sharper to the valley wanderer than to the inhabitant of its slopes.
