L' anno scorso andammo a vedere la Mostra di Courbet al Palazzo dei Diamanti a Ferrara. Fui subito affascinato dalla sua grande passione per il paesaggio e la natura, Courbet sembra far parte dello scenario che lo circonda, che altro non è che la sua terra d'origine, e rivela con la sua arte il suo viscerale legame con la Natura. Tra tutti mi ha colpito la maestosità di questo dipinto, la sua solitudine e la calma interiore che infonde. Un omaggio al grande Gustave Courbet: il dipinto originale misura cm. 64x140 ed è del 1876. 5-ago-2019

Last year we went to see the Courbet Exhibition at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara. I was immediately fascinated by his great passion for the landscape and nature, Courbet seems to be part of the scenario that surrounds him, which is nothing more than his homeland, and reveals with his art his visceral connection with Nature. I was struck by the majesty of this painting, its solitude and the inner calm that it infuses. A tribute to the great Gustave Courbet: the original painting measures cm. 64x140 and is from 1876.
